Hi there!

My name is Tracey, I live in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, and I’m an amateur photographer/birdwatcher as well as a singer. I don’t get to do either as much as I like as I have a young son and I have a 9 to 5 job that helps to pay the bills.

I’ve been doing this blog for over a year now, and am really enjoying it. I never really pictured myself as a blogger, I’m usually the quite one who observes and listens, not the one to tell a story. I do follow others’ blogs and will usually click “like” but don’t leave comments very often. My goal for 2017 will be to post twice a week, most likely on Sundays and Wednesdays.

I got a Nikon D3200 a few years back and have been getting hooked on bird watching ever since. I have been using this blog as a forum for my personal project. My goal is to see how many different species of birds I can get a picture of and identify. Sometimes it means my posts may not have the best pictures or I may be a little short on words but as time goes on I get more pictures in my personal archive that I can use to supplement my posts. I found that I’ve been learning a lot in doing this.

I will be posting other stuff too (like you might see a cat picture now and then), but I don’t have a real set plan at this point. I’m just kind of making it up as I go along…
