The Rock Pigeon is pretty common, and some even see it as a pest. There were a few hanging out on the pier on this day, and many of them were puffing up and cooing at their neighbours. We even saw these two who looked like they were in some sort of beak lock. 😉
There are also a bunch of pigeons that hang out at Burnaby Lake, as I caught in the picture below a few weeks ago. One thing I discovered in my little bit of research for this post is that it’s really hard to tell the males from the females.
