During the winter months many Snow Geese call the delta estuary their home. This past winter I didn’t get out so much as the weather was horrible, so I didn’t see too many of the snow geese. My one and only shot this year was of a flock of Snow Geese flying high overhead. Love the “V” shape.

FACT: “Snow Geese chicks are well developed when they hatch, with open eyes and down-covered bodies that already show whether the adult will have white or dark plumage. Within a few days they are able to maintain a constant body temperature on their own. They grow very quickly, with the males outpacing the females.” ~ allaboutbirds.org
