In the winter/early spring it is really easy to convince Chickadees to grab a bite to eat from your hand, provided you have the right kind of food. I love watching them. They’ll land, take a look at the offering, some will even discard the not-so-good-looking ones, then they grab their prize before they file off to crack it open. Sometimes you’ll even be rewarded by a cute little chirp before they grab the seed and fly away, I imagine they are saying “Thank-you”
