RIP little Sandhill

I found out today, through some photographers I’m following on Flickr, that the little Sandhill Crane is missing … and presumed gone. [here’s a link to an article from the Burnaby Now] 😦 Nature can be so brutal, and even though it’s just a wild bird that I saw a few times it filled my heart with great sadness to hear that this cute little Colt is gone. Was hoping to have the chance to watch it grow up. At least I did have a chance to capture of glimpse of it during it’s short life.
