
The Yellow Warbler is one of those birds that I never noticed until I started seriously bird watching a few years ago. Now I seem to see them all the time, especially when I’m up in Lillooet. These cute little songbirds are really hard to get a clear shot of though. Usually when I see them they’re way up in the tree tops, flitting from one tall tree to the next. Or I hear them singing from within the dense canopy.

I’m pretty sure this picture above is the Yellow Warbler youngster with their mom and or dad. Some of the Warblers can be pretty close in colouration so you can never be too sure on first glance.
Last year I was lucky enough to catch this one below, actually sitting on a low lying branch and singing away. (always easier to get a clear shot when they’re sitting relatively still)
