I am a little late in posting this. Usually I try to post my blog entries Mon, Wed and Fri. Last Thursday night I started to put my posting together and it was just about finished when I realized that the pictures that I was going to use had already been used in another post. I try not to duplicate my pictures so that if you are following my posts you will always see something new. I didn’t have too many good pictures of this cute little bird so my son and I took a trip to the bird sanctuary on Saturday to see if I could get some nicer shots. As luck would have it there was no shortage of Tree Swallows flitting around ( and a few even sitting still ).
I love to watch these aerial acrobats flit around. They are so fast though making it really hard to get a picture of them. I first saw them this year at Burnaby Lake at the end of March, but I didn’t get any usable shots from that day. Since then I’ve pretty much seen them daily as my cats and I will admire them from the window of our condo. However I have yet to get a good picture of them from my home.
This little guy below was trying to out sing a Marsh Wren who was singing up a storm a few reeds over.

I love their shiny blue feathers, reminds me of a jacket I had in the 80’s. 😉

Thank-you! That shiny blue is so eye-catching, mother nature never ceases to amaze me.
